Ohio State Buckeyes Custom Scarlet 1990s Throwback Version Basketball Jersey

The Ohio State men's basketball program has unveiled a new scarlet road version of its 1990s throwback uniforms, which will make their on-court debut during Saturday's game against UCLA.

The jerseys prominently display a white "Ohio State" workmark that is outlined in gray and stacked above and below matching numbers, as well as classic gray and white trim, replicating the style worn on the road by college basketball Hall of Famer Jim Jackson from 1989-92.

Interesting, when the gray throwback uniforms were first unveiled during the 2013-14 season, they were shown with scarlet shorts that were never worn. Those featured the throwback Block "O" higher up the left leg and flipped the colors of the trim from the version revealed today.

The throwback Block "O" was replaced on the gray uniforms by Ohio State's primary logo in 2018-19, the same season the Buckeyes added the scarlet road version of their 1980s throwback uniforms to the rotation. That was then followed by the white home design in 2020-21.
